What to Expect Sunday Morning

“Where you’re not just welcomed, you’re wanted.”

Jesus welcomed all just as they were, and so do we.

No matter which service you choose…COME AS YOU ARE!

As Disciples we offer open communion that is served weekly.

ALL are welcome at the table.

8:30 Worship Service

(in person and live streamed)

What’s it like to worship with us at the 8:30 Worship Service:

We light the chancel candles, welcoming Christ into the service.

We pass the plate for voluntary offerings to support the finances of the church, our community and our outside missions.

Prayer requests may also be placed in the plates, which are brought forward during the singing of the doxology. The scripture is read, followed by the sermon and prayer.

As a DOC church, we celebrate communion each time we gather for worship. The deacons pass the “bread and wine” serving the congregants.

We sing the traditional and contemporary hymns with piano accompaniment. Frequently choir members bring special music with our talented pianist and choir director.

The bond grows between worshippers who have come to know and support each other.

We are a warm and welcoming group. We invite all to come and worship with us.

This service is available to stream live online via our Facebook page and YouTube, though we sincerely hope you’ll choose to join us in person.

As leaders and as a congregation we wish to model Christ-like love and behavior, even in times of discord or disagreement. Therefore, as kindred in Christ we ask members to read, affirm and abide by a behavioral covenant.
