“We Are a Healthy Church”

Hello Friends!

I am so pleased with the feedback I have received from many of you regarding our new Behavioral Covenant. In case you haven’t been in church for awhile, we just finished a sermon series called “What is a Healthy Church?” where we focused on what scriptures can teach us about Congregational Health. 

As part of our goals for 2023 we want to establish that we are a healthy church with well-prepared soil for growth in the future.  As I mentioned in these sermons we want to make sure we are a church that helps heal wounds for those who have been hurt by the church, we want to establish a trustworthy place for folks to come and bring their families, and we want to be relevant and meaningful in our teachings and practices. I believe by adopting this Behavioral Covenant we are setting the boundaries which will help us accomplish these goals.

We are still hoping more of you will sign this covenant as a statement of your support for this church and the future brothers and sisters who will join us. There are plenty of copies left in the Narthex (or foyer…whatever we call it) and the Valentine’s box will remain for a few more weeks where you can place it as an expression of love for this congregation.
