ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and contributing to benevolent outreaches in communities throughout the United States.
Once a month, you (or someone you want to help) can be blessed with fresh meats, fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, and staple items at an extremely low price! And this is not “day-old” or “outdated” food. It’s all fresh, top quality, name brand products shipped from the manufactures to the Angel Food Ministries headquarters in Monroe, GA, and then to our area on refrigerated trucks. Best of all, there are… no applications and no limits on the quantities purchased.
There are several locations here in our area that offer Angel Food Ministries. The closest once to FCC is Timothy Lutheran Church here in Blue Springs. Go to www.angelfoodministries.com and click on the “find a local site” tab to find the location nearest you. There are locations throughout Kansas City, including locations in GrainValley, Independence and Lee’s Summit as well. For $30.00 you can get what is called a “Regular Box” that includes enough staple items to feed a family of four for a week. Menu items for the “Regular Box” change monthly. There is also a “Senior/Convenience Box” that is available each month for $28.00, that includes ten individual meals that are fully cooked and labeled with heating instructions. Menu items for these boxes as well as other specials available for the current month are posted on the bulletin triangle in the foyer or available at the Angel Food Ministries website.
Orders can be placed in person at the host site or online through the Angel Food Ministries website. The deadline for orders and the date your order will be available to pick up at the host location is also available on the bulletin triangle. Payment in full is required at the time you place your order!
